The Shelly DS18B20 temperature sensor is the right add-on for your SMART HOME if
you want to monitor the room temperature.
The DS18B20 Probe is the ideal instrument of the Shelly line to measure the
temperature of the environment in which it is located.
We use our probe by connecting it with the compatible ADDON chip for
Shelly 1 and Shelly 1PM .
With the sensor, the radiators in the living room can be optimally adjusted.
The heating works efficiently and at the same time you save on costs.
Suitable for outdoor use
The Shelly DS18B20 temperature sensor is equipped with a 1-wire interface.
As a result, the sensor only needs one port pin to communicate with a microcontroller.
Since the sensor has its own unique 64-bit address, it can work with one or two other sensors
on the same single-wire bus. Thanks to the cable length of 1 meter, you have sufficient leeway
when installing the temperature sensor.
Thanks to the stainless steel housing and waterproof cable , the sensor is also very suitable for outdoor use.
It does not require external power
The Shelly DS18B20 temperature sensor can derive its operating current directly from the data line.
Experts call this "Parasitic Power". This makes an external power supply superfluous.
